Story
Solar Powered Water Pumping System
UPDATE:
By the grace of God, the project is progressing well. Your generous contributions are already having a tangible impact — a new battery has been purchased, allowing significantly more water to be pumped for families in need. Please see the video below to witness the difference your support is making.
To meet the growing demand, at least one additional battery and solar panels are still required. With this further support, the system will be able to operate more efficiently and serve even more people.
What makes projects like this truly special is their lasting impact. Once fully implemented, the benefit continues day after day, providing ongoing support to the entire community for years to come.
This initiative is being delivered by the community, for the community. You can therefore feel confident that every contribution is being used promptly, responsibly, and in the most cost-effective way to maximise benefit.
I pray that Allah accepts all our efforts and prayers and that they weigh heavy on your scales.
As always your support is much appreciated — please share this widely.

Thank you taking the time to read through this campaign.
Our beloved father, Aman Khan, returned to his Lord in December 2025. إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ He was a man of few words, yet his quiet devotion to pleasing his Lord was evident in his gentle character and beautiful mannerisms.
As a means of Sadaqah Jariyah (perpetual charity) on his behalf, we are fundraising for a solar power water pumping system in Gaza.
Please take a look at the videos, photos and project overview below.
This project is uniquely positioned to be mobilised quickly and efficiently. God willing, if we can raise the funds in time, it will transform the Ramadan experience for the residents and over 1,300 displaced families in the camp.
We ask you to keep our father and all who have returned to Allah in your prayers. May their journey be eased and their place in Jannah assured.
Your support is deeply appreciated — please share this widely.

Project Overview
Location: Masjid At-Taqwa Area, Khan Younis Camp, Block G
Current Situation
The mosque’s desalination plant, which previously served both the mosque and the surrounding community, was damaged and has been out of service for over 18 months. At present, there is only one functioning well, which is in severe disrepair and unable to meet the level of demand.
Solution
To ensure a continuous and reliable water supply for residents and displaced families, the mosque urgently needs to install a solar-powered pumping system, at an estimated cost of £10,000. This includes three solar panels and two 200-amp batteries.
Project Delivery
This project will be overseen by a local family I know personally, supported by a trusted team of volunteers with whom they have successfully delivered several similar projects. 100% of donations will be passed on to the project, minus nominal transaction or platform fees.
Impact
The mosque’s facilities serve worshippers, local residents, and over 1,300 displaced families. Currently, water is pumped for around 30 minutes once a week, which is far from sufficient to meet even basic needs. This project would be transformative, significantly improving health, dignity, and daily life across the entire community.
“And We made from water every living thing.”
