Story
Who we are?
Project Care is a charity that aims to support disadvantaged children across India and parts of Africa through education. They coordinated 20+ group volunteering trips, raising over £115,000 towards transformational education projects, including sanitation projects and the building of new school infrastructure (such as classrooms, playgrounds, toilets and kitchens). 100% of the money generously donated by people like yourself, will be given to the school. All personal expenses including flights and accommodation will be funded by the volunteers themselves.
What I will be doing?
I will be heading to Bhuj Gujarat in September, where I will be spending 2 weeks at a school (Navchetan Andhjan Mandal School) for disabled students and children from underprivileged backgrounds, supporting to deliver lessons and extra-curricular activities.
Why am I doing it?
School has shaped so much of who I am and I want to help create the kind of supportive and inspiring environment that made me want a career in teaching. Travelling to India and volunteering gives me chance to connect with my roots and learn from the community I grew up in.
Thank you so much and I can't wait to share my journey with you!
