Story
Last year, one of our members, Norman Jamison, had triple heart bypass surgery at Wythenshawe Hospital’s cardiac unit. A few months later he was back on the hockey pitch and on the saddle of his bike. A testament to the fantastic diagnosis and care he received from the team at the cardiac unit.
This year also marks the 5th anniversary of the death of our friend and club mate, Mat Hodge. Who suffered a cardiac arrest at the age of 43.
4 years ago we cycled from Knutsford to Trearddur Bay to raise money for a cardiac screening event, in memory of Mat.
So, it seemed appropriate to repeat that cycle ride, both in memory of Mat but also to raise funds for NW Hearts charity as a way of thanking the hospital for the care Norman received and supporting work promoting healthy hearts.
