ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Join us for a unique spiritual and cultural gathering celebrating the sacred tradition of the Pandharpur Wari through the Holy Padukas of Lord Vitthal.

As part of the historic Global Wari pilgrimage, the Holy Padukas of Lord Vitthal will travel from London to Pandharpur for Shayani Ashadi Ekadashi, carrying the spirit of devotion, unity, and seva across communities and countries. Before continuing their sacred onward journey to Pandharpur, devotees across South East London will have the opportunity to receive blessings from the Holy Padukas and experience the spirit of the Wari within the local community.

This special Paduka Darshan event offers:

• Holy Paduka Darshan and blessings

• Bhajans, nama-smaran, and devotional celebrations

• Prasad for devotees

• An opportunity to learn about the Warkari tradition and Pandharpur Wari

• Community participation in a historic spiritual initiative

• Support for the vision of establishing the first Shri Vitthal-Rukmini Temple in the United Kingdom

The event is completely FREE and open to all devotees, families, and members of the wider community.

SHRI VITTHAL RUKMINI TEMPLE UK

The Shri Vitthal Rukmini Temple UK is the first dedicated temple initiative for Lord Vitthal and Goddess Rukmini in the United Kingdom, established to promote bhakti, nam-smaran, seva, and the spiritual heritage of the Warkari tradition across the UK and Europe.

Managed as a registered UK charity (Charity Number: 1214057), the initiative serves as a spiritual bridge connecting London and Pandharpur while helping establish a permanent spiritual home for devotees in the UK.

To learn more about the project and the Global Wari initiative, devotees can connect with local temple representative, Jyoti Tai Jadhav, who has been one of the key community coordinators and driving forces behind bringing this spiritual initiative to South East London.

ABOUT THE GLOBAL WARI

The Global Wari is a modern international adaptation of the traditional 800-year-old Pandharpur Wari pilgrimage of Maharashtra.

At the heart of the journey are the sacred Shree Vitthala Padukas, carried in procession as a symbol of Lord Vitthal visiting devotees across communities and nations.

This historic journey connects London to Pandharpur across thousands of miles and multiple countries, culminating during the sacred occasion of Shayani Ashadi Ekadashi.

The Global Wari represents a long-term vision to establish a permanent spiritual and cultural home for the Bhakti movement in the United Kingdom.
