Kidderminster's fundraiser for Alzheimer's Research UK

Kidderminster College is raising money for Alzheimer's Research UK

Walking Up Snowdon · 19 May 2026

Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity. We’re striving for a cure, by revolutionising the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia.

Story

On the 19th May 2026, the sports students of Kidderminster College are going to accomplish Snowdon's trails whilst raising money for Alzheimer's Research UK. As part of our course we are required to plan a sports event and decided that a charity walk would be an amazing thing to do.

As a group, we all feel close to this charity as most of us have family and friends who has suffered with this disease and even passed away! Alzheimer's takes away the living personality within an individual making them confused and struggle to remember things. This affects families deeply as they may already feel like they have lost a person they love and care for.

Our aim is to complete Snowdon's trail and raise a goal of £500 towards the Alzheimer's Research UK Charity. With the help of your donation, Alzheimer's Research UK can continue to support effected families and carry out ground breaking research in curing and managing Alzheimer's.
