Hi everyone!

My name is Kiefer, I’m 33 and from Coventry.

On 26 April 2027, I will leave Coventry along with Natalie on two bikes, cycling all the way to Istanbul, with the aim of arriving on 27 August 2027.

This journey is incredibly personal. On 26 April 2022, I lost my brother David — “Big Daddy B” — to suicide. I have also personally struggled with suicidal thoughts and attempts throughout my life.

We’re taking on this challenge to honour Dave, raise awareness and funds around men’s suicide and mental health, and keep spreading one simple message:

IT’S OKAY NOT TO BE OKAY.

Originally, Project Pridelands was going to take us from Coventry to the Serengeti in Tanzania, inspired by mine and Dave’s shared love of The Lion King. After looking at the reality of the journey, we changed our destination to Istanbul to make the challenge safer and more achievable.

But the mission hasn't changed.

Istanbul represents a place where East meets West, cultures come together and people connect — something that reflects exactly what we want Project Pridelands to stand for.

Natalie will be riding alongside me on her own bike and will also be responsible for filming and documenting the journey, running our social media, sharing our experiences and promoting the incredible people and sponsors supporting us.

We will leave Coventry on the 5th anniversary of Dave’s passing and aim to reach Istanbul on 27 August 2027.

Every mile will be for Dave, for the men who are struggling, and for anyone who has ever felt like they couldn't take another step.

The money raised through this GoFundMe will be used to help keep us going throughout the journey, including covering food, hostels where we are unable to camp, and any essential equipment needed along the way. Any funds remaining upon completion of the journey will be donated directly to the Andy’s Man Club JustGiving account.
