Beth's fundraiser for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity

Kiera Lambie is raising money for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity

Sandyhills Shave · 7 December 2025

We help the babies, children and young people treated at Scotland's largest children's hospital, the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow. We fund medical equipment, research, play programmes and family support services to ensure that our young patients receive the best possible care and experience.

Story

Beth has recently been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma- a form of bone cancer and is being treated at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow.

Funds raised will go to Ward 2a Schiehallion- the children's cancer ward which is where Beth is receiving her care. In particular to the play team and teddy hospital who help the patients to understand their treatments and procedures and support their mental health.

They have been an invaluable resource for Beth during her care ensuring she has plenty of activities during her chemotherapy to lift her spirits but also to help her understand the nature of her treatment and how this will affect her- such as why all her hair was falling out.

In support of Beth and to raise some funds for this wonderful resource some of our lovely Sandyhills church family and friends will be shaving their heads on Sunday 7th December 2025. 💕💕
