Story
Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page.
This September, I’ll be taking on a 5 day trek along the Great Wall of China as part of CoppaFeel!’s CoppaTrek! with Gi - a challenge that is physically tough, emotionally significant, and deeply personal.
I’m raising funds for CoppaFeel! - a charity who empower young people to know their bodies, spot changes early and feel confident seeking help. Early detection saves lives and yet so many people still don’t realise how important (and easy) it is to check regularly.
💗 My Story
In 2024 I found a lump by accident. I wasn’t checking regularly, and didn’t know I should be, but that moment changed everything.
Almost exactly two years after losing my dad to cancer at a young age, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 ER+ breast cancer.
The shock was overwhelming. Fear, uncertainty and grief hit all at once - but so did determination and resilience. Suddenly my life, health and future looked completely different.
I had surgery and radiotherapy, and I’m still having ongoing hormone treatment today. Cancer has affected every part of my life: my energy, my long‑term health, my plans, and even how I think about the future.
I’m still in it, still adjusting, still trying to build a new normal around something I never expected to face so young.
But I’m determined not to let cancer take more than it already has.
🌄 Why This Trek Matters
This year I wanted to push myself further - to prove that even after everything my body has been through, I can still do something extraordinary.
This trek represents:
✨ that I’m still here
✨ that I’m still strong
✨ that I’m still moving forward
And the most meaningful part of all: on the final day of my Great Wall trek, I will reach that wall two years to the day since my surgery - the day I became cancer‑free.
Two years of surviving. Two years of fighting. Two years of proving to myself that I can keep moving forward.
🎗️ Why CoppaFeel! Matters
In the UK, 1 in 7 women will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer in their lifetime, and it can affect people of all ages - including men. No one is too young; no one is exempt.
CoppaFeel! makes a serious topic accessible, positive and empowering. Their work encourages people to know their bodies, trust their instincts, and push for answers when something feels off.
I’m aiming to raise £4,000 so they can reach even more young people with life‑saving information.
💛 A Message From Me
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this:
👉 Trust your instincts. Know your body. Fight for yourself if something feels wrong.
If you’re able to support my fundraising - whether by donating, sharing, or raising awareness - I am truly grateful.
Your kindness will help CoppaFeel! deliver education that saves lives.
Thank you so much for your support.
