Story
Hi everyone.
Our next couple of matches we are raising money for Christmas for CAMHS whilst also playing in Kayla-Marie's memory. Below is a message from Christmas for CAMHS who are an amazing charity that does amazing things for young children and adolescents that are inpatients in mental health units over Christmas.
As someone that benefited from the services of CAMHS as a child this is another charity that is close to my heart.
Since 2016 Christmas For CAMHS have helped to make Christmas more magical for children and young people who are inpatients in child and adolescent mental health (CAMHS) wards across the UK over the festive period.
These young people will be experiencing one of the most challenging times in their lives, and they absolutely deserve to feel special, remembered and included during the holiday season. It's not about the gift itself, but the thought behind it. This year we're hoping to give a gift to every single young person who needs a gift who is in inpatient mental health care at Christmas - as well as a special gift, activities, homemade cards, sensory toys and decorations for every ward too.
Last year we were able to send over 1300 individual gifts to young people experiencing a really difficult Christmas as in inpatient, as well as a ward gift, decorations and an advent calendar to 134 CAMHS wards across the UK. With your help, we will be able to do the same in 2025 too.
