Story

Hi everyone. On the 18th May 2024 I will be running my first (and likely only) ever marathon. I have always wondered if I am capable of conquering the 42.2 km’s and after hitting my thirties and feeling like every year it will only become harder, I’ve decided that 2024 Is the year. I had never planned to do this for any cause however, in 2023 my family lost two very special people; my Aunt and Godmother, Robina Morris (née Caprani), and my Aunt Nicky Stowell. Both these truly wonderful women are deeply missed by all who knew them, and so I will be running the the ASICS Windemere Marathon in their memory. I had hoped to run the Edinburgh Marathon which is lovely and flat, however a very good friend is now getting married on this day! How selfish of him! Windemere is meant to be very scenic to run, which most likely means full of hills as its in the Lake District. So Im not setting myself any time to beat but merely finish! If you’d like to help spur me on to complete the 42.2 km’s then please feel free to donate in memory of Robina and Nicky.

Thank you all so very much. 💙
