Kieran's fundraiser for Motor Neurone Disease Association

Hi everyone,
In May 2025, I’ll be running the Leeds Half Marathon and I’m doing it for a cause that’s incredibly close to my heart – the MND Association.
One sunny day in May 2022 my Grandad was enjoying a game of golf when his leg suddenly gave way. When his leg didn’t recover and it got progressively weaker he sought medical advice and underwent a series of tests. Little did we know that 18 months later he would receive the devastating diagnosis that he is suffering from Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
MND is a terminal, rapidly progressing disease that affects the brain and spinal cord. It attacks the nerves that control movement so muscles no longer work, leaving the individual unable to move, talk, swallow and eventually breathe. There is NO cure. It has a profound impact not just on the person living with the disease, but on their loved ones too.
The MND Association provides vital support for people living with the condition, as well as funding essential research to one day find a cure. This charity is working tirelessly to improve the lives of those affected, and with your help, we can take another step forward.
As I lace up my trainers and prepare to push myself through every mile, I’ll be thinking of my Grandad and all the other individuals and families affected by MND. I hope you’ll join me in making a difference, whether its a small donation or sharing my fundraiser with others, your contribution can make a real difference. Together, we can help fund vital research, provide support services, and raise awareness for MND.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
