Story
In April 2026, I will be taking on the huge challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for a special cause.
In 2024, I lost both my Mum and Dad to cancer—just eight heartbreaking months apart. Dad passed away only weeks after his diagnosis in March, while Mum had been living with cancer since 2020, bravely facing surgeries and rounds of chemotherapy until she died in November.
Throughout their journeys, Farleigh Hospice was our lifeline. Their specialist nurses, the compassionate voices at the end of the phone when Mum needed someone to talk to, and the emotional support offered to me and my brother carried our family through the darkest moments of our lives. I will forever be grateful for the kindness, dignity, and humanity they showed us.
On Sunday 12 April, I’m running the London Landmarks Half Marathon to honour my parents and to give something back to the people who gave us so much. If you’re able to support Farleigh Hospice’s incredible work—whether by raising awareness or donating—I would be deeply grateful. This run is the very least I can do.
