Story

I’m raising money for Transcend Sarcoma, a charity founded by Jack Holmes in 2023. Jack was a wonderful human being – full of life, warmth and kindness – and he showed extraordinary bravery after being diagnosed with stage 4 CIC::DUX sarcoma at just 33 years of age.

CIC::DUX sarcoma is an extremely rare form of soft tissue sarcoma, with very limited treatment options. Following his diagnosis, Jack devoted his time to understanding the disease and finding ways to improve outcomes for future patients. With support from the Sarcoma Pathology team at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, he set out to fund research where targeted treatments do not yet exist. From this determination, Transcend Sarcoma was born.

The charity brings people together through music, movement, art and food, with community at the heart of everything it does, while raising vital funds for sarcoma research. Any donation, big or small, will help continue Jack’s legacy and support those facing sarcoma in the future. Thank you so much for your support.
