Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
I’m running the London 2026 Marathon in memory of my beautiful daughter, Amy. I will be raising funds for the charity my wife Laura and I founded in her memory, the Amy Robinson Foundation.
At just three and a half years old, Amy passed away suddenly and unexpectedly and our family was left devastated and in shock. Despite extensive medical investigations, the cause of Amy’s death remains unknown. Each year, more than 40 children in England and Wales die without explanation. This is known as Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC ) the sudden and unexpected death of a child aged twelve months or older that remains unexplained even after thorough investigation.
Amy was a kind, funny and wonderful little girl, with beautiful curly hair and a love of animals. Laura, Ella, Oliver and I miss her desperately everyday, as do all her family and friends.
Your donation means so much and helps the Amy Robinson Foundation meet our specific aims of:
- Supporting families through therapy grants to access counselling and bereavement support
- Funding research into Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC)
- Providing grants to charities working in the field of child bereavement

Although I have run a couple of half marathons before, I have never attempted a full marathon. It will be hard, but I know that Amy and the support of friends and family will give me the strength I need.
Thank you for supporting us.
