Story

Hi, I'm Kieran!

You know, when you randomly get those burst' of motivation throughout the day and think you can do anything? Well...

In my head I have always thought about taking part in running events, as well as my mountaineering and hiking challenges.

Believe it or not I have strongly considered applying to take part in a marathon for years; never getting around to it as I don't class myself as a 'runner'.

I thought I would try my luck and I applied to run for TeamCF at the London Marathon in 2025. I wanted to take part in this massive challenge, because for one I want to help further raise money for the Trust, helping thousands of people around the UK, with Cystic Fibrosis, including myself...

... as well as challenging myself to something new - I am usually somewhere climbing mountains and hiking as often as possible as it is my passion and also to keep my health stable.

To run for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, I have been given a target of £2,500 to raise, and that will not be possible without YOU. With YOUR help we can make it happen and I say this now but I am absolutely adamant to complete this challenge for YOU, the Trust and also myself.

---------------------------------------

In terms of fundraising in the past, we have managed to raise over £14,000 together for the CF Trust and that includes many different events, such as:

- Skydives

- Abseils

- Summiting Kilimanjaro

- Charity football matches

- Gaming events

- Crowdfunding in supermarkets

- Summiting 3 Mexican Volcanoes

and more!

Without my friends, family and the communities I have worked with, online and local, none of the above would be possible!

If you would like to sponsor me for this challenge then it will be greatly appreciated and your donation will go a long way in helping the Trust fund vital research to help people living with CF for years to come!

To summarise, I sure am in for the shock of my life, but maybe this is the kick I need to make it all happen and come to life - see you at the finish line!!

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition which causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system. It affects more than 10,800 people in the UK. One in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually without knowing.

Cystic fibrosis comes with challenges, affecting our physical health, mental wellbeing and how we choose to live our lives. But our community is uniting towards the ultimate goal of effective treatment for all.

Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the charity uniting people to stop cystic fibrosis.
