Story

On Friday 19th June 2026, I am stepping far outside my comfort zone to take part in the Vetlife Alexandra Palace Rooftop Climb. To celebrate Vetlife Day, I will be climbing across the rooftop of London's iconic Alexandra Palace all the way to the Angel of Plenty statue standing an daunting 130 meters above sea level!

While I tackle the heights (and hopefully don't look down too much!), I am hoping to raise vital funds for Vetlife.

Why Vetlife Needs Our Support Right Now:

Veterinary professionals vets, veterinary nurses, students, and practice staff are always there for our beloved animals when they need them most. But the reality is that caring for others comes with a heavy emotional and physical toll.

Demand for Vetlife’s services has reached an all-time high. In 2025 alone:

The Vetlife Helpline handled 6,481 confidential contacts—a record-breaking 27% increase from the previous year. That means an average of nearly 18 veterinary professionals every single day are reaching out in crisis.

Over £150,000 was distributed in Financial Support to help veterinary professionals experiencing severe financial hardship.

Vetlife provides a completely free, 24/7 confidential lifeline, professional mental health support, and financial aid to the entire UK veterinary community. Because the demand for their help is rising so rapidly, they are relying more than ever on fundraisers to keep these essential services running.
