On the 12th of October, I am running the Melbourne marathon in memory of my Dad for ICU steps, a charity supporting patients and their relatives affected by critical illness. The charity works along side various intensive care units across the country, providing support and information, recognition and awareness, and contribution towards research.

Dad passed away on the 22nd of November 2024 having spent his last few days in intensive care. They worked tirelessly around the clock to try and save him, and when it became clear that there was nothing more that could be done, they ensured he was comfortable and peaceful right until the very end. They managed every difficult conversation with care and compassion, and ensured dad was given the dignity he deserved.

We appreciate any donations that will support families through critical illness, providing better outcomes and support for patients and their relatives.
