Story
This March and April, my friend Millie and I are running the Kilimanjaro Marathon and climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
Three years ago, Millie's father Steve was diagnosed with Parkinson's. His symptoms rapidly worsened until, this last Christmas, the diagnosis became Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) - a rare neurological condition which robs sufferers of their movement, voice and independence at an escalated pace.
There is currently no cure.
In spite of his increasing disability and dramatically shortened life-expectancy, Steve's resilience and determination has inspired us to take on these challenges.
This to raise vital funding for PSPA - the only UK Association fighting to find a cure for this devastating disease whilst providing invaluable information, support and, most of all, hope to victims and their families.
Our goal is to come up with as many pounds as there are metres of the tallest mountain in Africa - 5895.
If you feel moved to help us get there, please donate or share this page with others who may like to back this effort.
Our initiative is fully self-funded, so 100% of your donation will go to the crucial operations of the Association.
If you’re a UK taxpayer, ticking the Gift Aid box allows PSPA to claim an extra 25% at no further cost to you.
We'll keep this page updated with our progress. Thank you so much for taking the time to engage with this.
Love, Georgiana and Millie xx
