Story

On 1 August 2025, an intrepid team of Testigo Africa supporters—led by founder, Tracey Sawyer—will begin an eight-day ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro along the remote Lemosho Route. Every step we take up Africa’s tallest peak is a pledge to uplift the Maasai communities who have welcomed us as partners for more than fifteen years.

Testigo Africa’s mission is as simple as it is urgent: provide sustainable access to food, clean water, and education in Tanzania by listening first, co-designing with local leaders, and empowering each village to shape its own future.

Your contribution transforms our climb into lasting change. With your help, we will train students and teachers in permaculture so that remote boarding schools can harvest their own nutritious food; equip entire Maasai villages with culturally attuned permaculture skills; construct and rehabilitate vital water infrastructure—pipelines, tanks, and dams—that ends the daily search for safe water; fund vocational scholarships that keep bright young Maasai scholars in school and on the path to opportunity; and seed micro-enterprise ventures that spark local entrepreneurship and self-reliance.

By donating today, you support our mission to provide sustainable access to food, clean water, and education in Tanzania. Together, we will create a future where no Maasai child goes hungry, classrooms are full of opportunities, and clean water is available for generations to come.
