Dragon boat paddling has been proven to increase the health and well-being of cancer patients, helping recovery from the after effects of treatment. The support of fellow paddlers who are literally and metaphorically “in the same boat” is an aid to physical and mental recovery.

Story

Update: I have uploaded a photo from the finish line. It was a bit cloudy, but luckily not too much rain. We finished our 11 miles stroll in 3.5 hours.

Update 2: Thank you all for your support and donations, it is very generous! I would like also to thank to Natwest Group, which will match your donations.

Update 3: This page will close on 21st Sep 23:59

I'm excited to be participating in the Edinburgh Kiltwalk to raise funds for the Port Edgar Dragons, a charity dedicated to supporting those affected by various forms of cancer. Dragon boating is an incredible sport that plays a crucial role in recovery, but unfortunately, it’s not as widespread in Scotland as it is in England.

Your donation will help keep the cost of paddling sessions low, making this empowering sport accessible to anyone who wants to join and experience its benefits.
