Story
Some of you will know, I was diagnosed with lung cancer last summer! Major surgery followed and the last 6 months have been focussed on recovering both physically and emotionally. I’ve been lucky to have had the support from close friends and family who have been amazing – thank you to you all.
Finding out I had lung cancer was terrifying and also devastating, especially given that I’ve never smoked and considered myself fit and healthy. I knew so little about it and had so many questions.
This is where the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation (RCLCF) stepped in. It’s the only UK charity solely dedicated to researching lung cancer and supporting everyone impacted. They provided me with a wealth of information, specialist nurses to talk to and support groups. Having these resources available has made such a difference – it’s helped make the last 6 months less scary and has most definitely supported my recovery. And I would love to help them continue providing such fantastic support for others.
As part of my recovery and to say thank you, I’ve set myself a challenge and will be walking 100 miles in March to raise money for RCLCF. If you are able to help me, please donate what you can. And every pound will make a difference to others affected by lung cancer.
Thank you for your support.
