Cooking all day. Feeding all day and all night. Changing thousands of lives.

We currently operate the largest feeding programme for street animals in Sri Lanka, freshly cooking around 1.2 tonnes of nutritious food every single day in our two on-site kitchens.

Every day, these meals feed our 2,200 sanctuary residents, as well as hungry street cats and dogs in our local community.

It is a huge labour of love — and an enormous cost.

Our cooked meals cost the charity around £1,000 every day — £30,000 every month. That is roughly half of our entire monthly running costs.

And now, we want to take this mission even further.

🌟 The Cookathon — Sunday 1st November

October is my big birthday month, and every year, on my birthday, I do what I love most: a nighttime feeding round for the street animals.

There is no greater gift than filling an empty stomach.

But this year, for my big birthday, I want to do something extraordinary.

On Sunday 1st November, we are planning a huge 24-hour Cookathon and Feeding Challenge.

Starting at 6am, our team will cook an incredible 2 tonnes of nutritious food.

Then, throughout the day and all through the night, we will feed our sanctuary animals and take to the streets to feed hungry cats and dogs in our local communities.

Our goal is to feed 5,000 dogs and cats within 24 hours.

We will be livestreaming our nighttime feeding rounds so you can join us, wherever you are, and see the difference your support makes.

The purpose of this enormous challenge is to raise enough money to cover one entire month of feeding costs at our sanctuary.

Every month, we struggle to meet our running costs and keep this vital feeding programme going.

£30,000 would mean one month of food secured.

One month of full tummies.

One month where we can continue feeding the animals who depend on us every single day.

This Cookathon, combined with my big birthday, is our chance to turn a celebration into something that truly matters.
