Hi, my name is Kim Evans and I am fundraising for the kaleidoscope Group

I want my introduction to be less about me and more about the organisation I am raising funds for, so here goes:

I am doing a charity skydive in order to raise funds for the Kaleidoscope Plus Group. I figured I would face my fear of heights, and put my self out there for a good cause. A cause that I hold very dear to me, not as a result of personal loss, but the loss experienced by friends who have had loved ones commit suicide and seeing first hand how it affected them.

Now that's out the way, lets talk about my chosen charity:

The Kaleidoscope plus group is a charity that specialises in mental health and mental well being. They not only offer support, through offering affordable counselling, or through any of their many tailored programs such as 'the Befriending Service', Men's Mental Health Support i.e. Men's Winter Wellness Group or even their world class Mental Health and Suicide Awareness Training, (offered to both individuals and organisations).

Just as importantly, they offer hands on support in getting individuals help to manage their finances along with their everyday responsibilities. The things that almost always gets neglected during crisis. The same responsibilities that the more they get neglected, the bigger problems become, the more difficult it gets to cope, this is where mental health crisis thrives.

I have seen just how committed the Kaleidoscope group are, just how brilliantly their 'Supporting People' teams work in order to assist with day to day problems such as evictions, bills or even homelessness. I have seen them working varied hours to ensure support is always available to the community, always giving more than is ever asked of them!

Kaleidoscope group tackles mental health from all aspects, which is necessary in how to truly make a difference.

I know the brilliant work Team Kpg does, I know just how needed it is for our society today and I know the resources it requires to offer continued practical support.

I would appreciate any support you can offer during this and/or future fundraising events I do on their behalf...YES this is only my first event, but I will most definitely be doing future fundraising for the Kaleidoscope Group, I am honoured to fundraise for an organisation, whose purpose is such an important cause!
