Story
On the 26th of April 2026, I’ll be lacing up my trainers and taking on 26.2 miles in the London Marathon – all to support Breast Cancer Now, the UK’s leading breast cancer research and support charity.
Running has completely changed my life. It’s been my escape and my therapy, through tough times. I’ve tackled countless half marathons – and now it’s time for the next challenge: my first marathon. And what better one than the iconic London Marathon?!
But this run is about much more than ticking a box on my bucket list.
In February 2025, my amazing mum was diagnosed with breast cancer. She’s my absolute favourite person in the world, with the kindest heart and would do absolutely anything for anyone. She's faced two surgeries - a lumpectomy followed by a mastectomy due to the tumour size and a round of radiotherapy. The support and guidance from Breast Cancer Now has made a huge difference during this time – and I want to give back.
Breast cancer affects 1 in 7 women in the UK during their lifetime. Alongside my mum, several of my friends’ mums have also been diagnosed – it’s a disease that’s sadly becoming all too familiar, especially for the millennial generation. That’s why I’m proud to be fundraising for Breast Cancer Now: to help fund research, raise awareness, and support everyone affected.
Every donation – no matter the size – will help fund life-saving research and provide vital care and support to those who need it most. Whether it's £5 or £50, your generosity means the world – and it’ll help push me through every mile (especially when the going gets tough!).
💗 Please donate if you can – and share this page to spread the word. Together, we can make a real difference.
Thank you so much for your support – and I’ll see you at the finish line 💕
