Story

In January 2025 two officers from Saga's Spirit of Adventure - Captain Kim Tanner and Guest Services Director Rebecca Heron - will be attempting to climb one of the famed Seven Summits, Aconcagua in Argentina to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Both Kim & Becca lost a parent to cancer too soon - this climb will be dedicated to their memory and help Macmillan Cancer Support continue it's vital work supporting cancer patients and their families through incredibly difficult times.

Aconcagua is the highest mountain in the world outside the Himalayas. Their trek will last almost 3 weeks, taking them to an altitude of 6,962 metres / 22,841 feet whilst enduring the harsh winds and sub-zero temperatures of the Andes region.

Every donation counts and will make a difference, no matter how small.

We’ll keep you updated with their training progress and as their climb begins.

Thank you

Kim, Becca & all the Saga team
