In Memory of the Legend, Mike Ruppe

Our buddy. Our family friend. The school builder. The bucket of frogs. The wind‑up merchant. The absolute legend that is Mike Ruppe

Everyone lost Ruppe far too early, and there isn’t a day that goes by where in someone’s house his name doesn’t spark a story, a laugh, or that unmistakable voice in our heads. He was one of the kindest, most generous people I’ve ever known—someone who showed up, lifted others up, and made life lighter just by being in the room.

So, in his honour, I’ve decided to take on the 106km Isle of Wight Challenge this May. Continuous. No stopping. It’s the furthest I’ve ever attempted, but if there’s one thing I know, it’s that Ruppe will be right there with me—blasting out the tunes, taking the mick, and pushing me on when my legs start questioning my life choices. I can still hear him now.

As agreed with Ann, This walk is for him. For the laughs he gave us, the kindness.
