Last year was an incredibly tough year for us dealing with the heartbreak of watching our loved ones battle cancer. One of us saw a sister fight through breast cancer and the battle was brutal.

Another of us devastatingly lost her sister, Michelle was diagnosed in March 2025 with bile cancer which is aggressive and rare, and is only diagnosed once the disease has spread to other areas and in the advanced stages, it spread dramatically. Michelle spent the last few weeks of her life in Nightingale house, Wrexham, it was traumatic, she struggled, she battled through the best she could, she passed away on the 8th May 2025.

So as a team Kim, Gwenda, Yvette and I have signed up for “SheUltra 50km marathon” to challenge ourselves and to raise money for vital cancer research.

People with cancer face daily challenges we’re doing this in honour of all the people we love, the ones we’ve lost, and everyone still fighting.
