Story

My Journey Back to Fitness

As many of you know, you’ve followed my journey over the last two years. I was diagnosed with HER2-positive breast cancer in March 2023, at just 34 years old — only a few months after marrying my childhood sweetheart.

It broke our family in ways I can’t describe.

Before my diagnosis, I loved staying active — especially running 5km races with my boys. We even managed one last family 5k the day before I started chemotherapy. Now, I’m determined to show my boys that I can get my fitness back — and become even stronger than before.

My boys, now 15 and 12, and my incredible husband have been my biggest supporters every step of the way.

Throughout this journey, the Macmillan Cancer Support volunteers and their resources have been an amazing help and source of encouragement. I’m so grateful for everything they do for people like me — helping us find strength, confidence, and hope again.

I’m overjoyed to say that I’m now in remission, and I’m proud to give back to a charity that supported me when I needed it most.

Thanks for supporting my fundraising page.
