Sleep Out for Centrepoint · 28 February 2025

Centrepoint is the UK’s leading youth homeless charity. Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 16-25 year olds into a home and a job every year. Our award-winning helpline provides support to vulnerable young people across the country. We campaign to end youth homelessness by 2037.

Story

On Friday 28th Feb Coventry Building Society colleagues are swapping their beds for sleeping bags to help Centrepoint give homeless young people the safety, security and ability to escape homelessness for good.

In 2022-2023, 136,000 16-25 year olds presented to their local councils as homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, that’s 1 young person every 4 minutes. This is unacceptable. Centrepoint believes they know the way to end youth homelessness, but they need our help to get there. We know that holding our own Sleep Out does not aim to replicate the experience of sleeping rough, but instead provides a small glimpse into the harsh realities faced by many young people each year. By sleeping out you will raise awareness of the situation for thousands of young people, whilst raising funds to support Centrepoint's vital services. Your fundraising will go towards providing urgent housing and wraparound support, as well as the important advocacy work CP do to make sure youth homelessness is at the forefront of Government agenda
