Skydiving into my 40th year... · 10 September 2023

The Brain Tumour Charity is the world’s leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, we’re moving further, faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour. A cure really can’t wait

Story

For my 40th birthday in August this year, I will be taking part in a tandem skydive to raise money for The Brain Tumour Charity.

I don't wish for any gifts this birthday, just charity donations via this page if you can please.

This charity is very close to my heart and I will be jumping in memory of Tom Parker, who sadly passed away from a brain tumour in March 2022. He was only 33 and left behind a wife and two young children.

Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults aged under 40 - yet they only receive just 1% of the national funding towards research. Alongside this, treatments for brain tumours have not progressed in decades.

The Brain Tumour Charity are working to build a better future, a world where those diagnosed with a brain tumour can live longer and better lives. The hope is to accelerate new treatments, drive better care and raise crucial awareness. There needs to be change. A cure can't wait.
