Story
I will be running, walking 56K in February to raise vital funds for Refuge, this lifeline charity works tirelessly to support thousands of women and children affected by domestic abuse.I am passionate about supporting Refuge and campaigning for change in memory of my sister Gemma. My world collapsed in an instant when I got that knock on the door from the police. Nothing could have ever prepared me for hearing “I’m sorry to tell you Gemma has been found dead” My sister was murdered.
This is the heartbreaking reality we live every day as do thousands of other families who have had their loved ones stolen by homicide.
Family courts and CPS have a lot to answer for, it’s their failings and injustices that enable these murders to happen and it has got to stop.
We need to protect women and children because the authorities are failing.
Children are orphaned because their mothers have been murdered.
please help us to make a difference to women’s and children’s lives.
Just £15 could provide essentials for a woman arriving at a refuge.
Many arrive with little more than the clothes they are wearing. Your donation could provide essentials like toiletries and food to help a woman through her first night.
Every £1 makes a difference. Thank you!
