24 Hours I Will Definitely Not Forget (Mostly Because I’ll Still Be Shivering)
Imagine this: cold‑water swims at 3AM. Firepits. Questionable life choices. Watching the sun rise over a lake while wondering why you voluntarily agreed to this. Meanwhile, the rest of my team glides through the water like elegant otters… and I, famously cold‑averse and with a natural tendency to sink, bob along behind them like a determined, slightly confused potato.
And yet.
Here we are.
We are swimming for 24 hours in a relay — and it is for a brilliant cause.
We are raising money for Level Water, a charity that gives children with disabilities the chance to learn to swim. Every £15 funds one life‑changing lesson. That is why I’m doing this. That is why your support means so much. That… and to prove that even a person who sinks recreationally can do something extraordinary.
