Story

Miscarriage is a really hard topic to share and talk about, for men and women, equally hard if it's early and no - one knows, or later and people do know. How do you navigate it.

I'm sharing to try and open conversation and support around it, although it feels really hard & vulnerable to do so. I support many women with coaching through miscarriage, and equally men, who often get forgotten.

The medical aspect is often never shared, early complications and operatons, as well as the emotional ride. I want to help open safe spaces for sharing, connnecting, being quiet & bringing love together.

On 26th Sept I aim to complete the Pilgrams 50km Ultra, from Holy Island to Craster - a route with meaning & challenge, and an alarm clock start of 4am.... raising awareness and money for this amazing little charity. The cut off time is much quicker than i can do & self navigating so will need to get a wriggle on and do my best - you can find out more here https://pilgrimsultra.com/50km/

Then if all is well, on 4th Oct, I will do the GoRuck 10km - which is carrying a 4.5kg rucksack on a trail 10km which leads into the start of Baby Loss Awareness Week and is a special date in my heart

Whatever unfolds I hope to open conversations , raise money , awareness & give support to those affect, both women and men by early miscarriage, late miscarriage and baby loss.

Thank you , thank you :-) Shine bright little ones above, big energised support xx

I started in July and was proud to be taking part in Miles that Matter for Miscarriage UK – joining others in walking 42 miles in July. My average of 1.4 miles a day will reflect the 1 in 4 pregnancies which are estimated to result in baby loss, raising awareness of the vital support services the charity offers, and raising funds to ensure they can be there for those who need them most.

By taking on this challenge and supporting Miscarriage UK, I'm helping to ensure no one has to face pregnancy loss alone – and by making a donation to my page you are helping to fund their support services, trusted information and campaigning work, while raising awareness of an experience that is still too often misunderstood.

Together, we can make sure no one faces pregnancy loss alone.
