Summiting Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa (5,895 m) · 1 March 2026

The Kids Network supports Little Londoners at a crucial time in their development, providing a year of one-to-one mentoring to help them increase their confidence, wellbeing, resilience and happiness.

Story

Hello my friends,

I am raising money for a lovely charity called the Kids Network who support children aged 8-11 from disadvantageous backgrounds during the important formative years to nurture their confidence, wellbeing and help them thrive.

Across 2024/2025 I mentored a 10 year old over the course of 12 months as a volunteer for this charity, which was both rewarding and deeply meaningful; watching that little boy grow in confidence over time was a beautiful thing to witness. I want to support the charity to enable more children to be helped.

This year, I am pushing myself outside my comfort zone by taking on another challenge: climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. At 5,895 meters, it is the highest mountain in Africa and the highest I have ever attempted. While the climb will be physically demanding, it means so much more to me than reaching the summit. It is a reminder of what we can achieve when we lift each other up and believe in something greater than ourselves.

With your generosity, we can continue to reach and support the young Londoners who need it most through our child-led, one-to-one mentoring program.

Join me in this inspiring adventure as we strive to level the playing field for children across London. Together, we can create lasting change and empower our youth to reach their full potential.
