Walk for Endo 2024 · 1 July 2024 to 31 July 2024 ·

Our recent report shows that it unfortunately takes an average of over 8 years to get diagnosed with endometriosis in the UK, and that’s far too long! Walk over 8,000 steps this July to support those on their endometriosis journey.

Story

This Summer, I am participating in the Walk for Endo 2024 to support Endometriosis UK's crucial mission. The recent report by Endometriosis UK revealed that it takes over 8 years to receive a diagnosis in the UK, which is unacceptable.

It took over 10 years in my case, multiple doctors and clinics in different countries, and a whole lot of advocating for myself. The lack of adequate treatment options and lack of care from ‘specialists in the field’ I received over the years, is simply not acceptable.

The urgency of this issue drives me to raise awareness and funds to aid the 1in10 individuals battling endometriosis. Together, we can take significant steps towards reducing diagnosis times and ensuring access to appropriate care. Let's make a meaningful difference and create a future with quicker diagnosis and better support for those affected by endometriosis.
