At Kings Court Trust and Title Research, we see first-hand the importance of compassion, dignity and support during some of life’s most difficult moments. Through our work in estate administration, we regularly encounter families navigating loss, which is why we are proud to support Dorothy House Hospice Care as our charity for 2026.

A Personal Story from Our Team:

I experienced firsthand the work that Dorothy House does in 2016 when my Dad was referred to them after being diagnosed with Terminal Bowel Cancer. They came to the house to talk to both my Mum and Dad and discussed with my Dad in particular his wishes for his care moving forward. He had said that he wished to stay at home for as long as possible and if needed, he would go to hospice care. Thankfully, this was something that they could support him with, and he remained at home until he passed away. In April 2016, during his final days, Dorothy House became an invaluable support for all of us as a family. A nurse would come to our house and care for my Dad overnight so that my Mum, myself and my sisters could all get some sleep and not worry about Dad being on his own. During one of those days, a lady came to visit us from Dorothy House and answered all the questions that we had, “is he in pain?”, “can he hear us?”, which really did help us with the unknown of those final days.

Dorothy House will always hold a special place in my heart and I’m so grateful that we will be supporting them as our charity of the year this year so that they can continue helping families like they did for ours.
