Kendall Kingscott's fundraiser for Stroke Association

Joshua Compton is raising money for Stroke Association

Rotary Bristol Dragon Boat Festival 2026 · 28 June 2026

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

In honour of our dear colleague and friend, Ruth Thornell, who we sadly lost in 2025, we've raised charity proceeds to the Stroke Association.

Ruth was truly one of life’s greats, a sensitive and caring soul, whose hard work, creativity and deep love for family, combined with her wonderful sense of humour, touched the lives of everyone around her. She is deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her and will always be remembered for the love and laughter that she brought into the world.

We hope to offer a little support to families facing similar challenges.

We’re excited to share that our Bristol office will be taking part in the Bristol Dragon Boat Race on Sunday 28th June 2026, raising money for a fantastic cause

On the day, our team, the Kingscott Krakens, will be taking to the water in dragon boats, working in unison to paddle through a series of fast-paced races alongside other teams.

The event, hosted by the Rotary Club of Bristol Breakfast, takes place at Baltic Wharf in Bristol Docks, with a full day of racing from 10:00am through to the finals at around 5:00pm. Teams compete in multiple 200m heats, with the fastest progressing through to the finals.

Most importantly, this event is about raising money for charity, and we’re proud to be supporting the Stroke Association.

Every day, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke.

With strength, determination and the right support, recovery is possible. Help us support all people affected by stroke.
