The children and staff at Kingsmead Day Nursery in Winchester are coming together to help the animals at Marwell Zoo with its Safari Summer Week fundraiser.

We always try to inspire the children at Kingsmead to understand and care for the natural world in our community, which is why they are very excited to be involved in helping the animals at Marwell.

The Safari Summer Week will take place from 26th – 29th June and will involve:

- 26 June: Responsible Rabbit’s Big Clean Up – The children will be litter picking in local public spaces to make them great again for the community.

- 28 June: Slow and steady doesn’t always win the race as the children get competitive on Safari Sports Day.

- 29 June: Move for Marwell – A sponsored dance-athon! The children are setting themselves a challenge to collectively dance for 1 hour non-stop.

Marwell Wildlife is delivering wildlife conservation programmes ranging from the reintroduction of desert antelopes in the Sahara through to community-based projects in northern Kenya, black and white rhino conservation in Zimbabwe and habitat restoration in the south of England.

These projects are making a positive impact and the successful outcomes are great BUT there is so much more that needs to be done which is why Kingsmead Day Nursery is fundraising to help secure the future of wildlife for generations to come.
