"Climbing for a Cause: The Seven Sevens Challenge for Dementia Support"

Kingston Rajiah is raising money for Age Concern Causeway

"Climbing for a Cause: The Seven Sevens Challenge for Dementia Support" · 14 June 2025

Age Concern Causeway is a totally independent local charity. Through a person-centered approach, we aim to help keep people living with dementia in their own homes and maintain independence for as long as possible. All money raised goes into our services in the Causeway Coast and Glens area.

Story

This summer, we—James McDowell, Alistair Taylor, William McCandless and Kingston Rajiah—are taking on one of Northern Ireland’s toughest endurance hikes: the Mourne Seven Sevens Challenge. That's seven peaks, in one demanding day across the beautiful but brutal Mourne Mountains.

We’re doing this not just for the adventure, but for a cause close to our hearts: Age Concern Causeway in Coleraine.

Age Concern Causeway is a local charity making a real difference in the lives of older people, especially those living with dementia. From vital dementia support groups and one-to-one visits, to safeguarding initiatives and community transport, their work brings companionship, dignity, and practical help to some of our most vulnerable neighbours.

Every pound you donate will go directly towards supporting these life-changing services. Whether it’s funding a memory support session, a community day trip, or the continued delivery of their dementia safeguarding wristbands, your support will truly go a long way.

Please give what you can—and help us put our legs (and lungs) to good use!

Thank you so much for your support.
