Story
Hi, I’m Kinvara and on April 26th 2026 I’m taking on 26.2 miles of pure optimism and determination, aka the London Marathon, raising funds for Run for Heros. I’m so proud (and a little terrified) to have the privilege of running for this charity, so I’m making every mile count.
Run for Heros’ 2026 mission is close to home: they’re supporting healthcare workers through mental‑health grants, funding for extra training, and aiding those working in conflict zones. This matters to me because it’s currently my sister’s first year as an NHS doctor, and I’m hearing first‑hand how tough the job can be.
My own running journey began with Run for Heros's COVID‑19 challenge: run 5, donate 5, nominate 5. That simple act got me lacing up and pounding the pavements ever since, and it’s come full circle now I’m taking on a marathon with the same charity that started it all!
If you can, please donate. Every £1 genuinely helps. UK donors can add Gift Aid (it’s an extra 25% at no cost). If donating isn’t possible, a share of my page or a cheer is gold.
I’ll do the running; if you can do the supporting (and perhaps the snacking) on my behalf.
Thank you for backing me, backing our healthcare workers, and proving that lots of small acts can carry someone a very long way. 🧡
