On Friday 1st November I'll be taking part in my first ever boxing fight!

The event is ran by 4 Corners Boxing, and will be at the Normandy Hotel. The event itself isn't a charity event, but I'm taking the opportunity of my involvement to raise awareness and money for Cancer Research UK.

I'll be donating to Cancer Research any ticket commission I receive for taking part in the fight, and I'm launching this Just Giving page here too.

I've been fortunate to have so much support from family, friends and colleagues as I've been training hard towards this challenge. Cancer has affected so many of my family and friends, as I'm sure it has for many of you too. Research funded by organisations like Cancer Research UK is helping many more people survive cancer, or to live longer and better with it. So this cause is one close to my heart, in memory of those I've lost to cancer, and in gratitude for the survival of others who have fought it.
