SAHA Charity Skydive · 6 April 2024

To achieve greater equity in the design, quality, choice and cultural appropriateness of social well-being and health care services through critical dialogue with South Asian communities and mainstream institutions.

Story

Our Story: We, Kirit, Dhiren, and Hina, trustees of South Asian Health Action (SAHA UK), have decided to take a leap of faith, literally! On August 12th, 2023, we're participating in a charity skydive with a dual purpose: to raise funds for SAHA and to increase awareness around crucial health issues disproportionately affecting our South Asian community.

Our mission is to shed light on Diabetes, Kidney Disease, and Mental Health, address Health Inequalities, and promote Organ, Blood, and Stem Cell Donation within the South Asian community. Participating in this skydive aims to spark conversations, draw attention to these issues, and mobilise the resources needed to make a difference.

The funds raised from our skydive will be directed towards lived experience support groups within the South Asian community. We believe in the power of shared experiences and peer support in facilitating healthcare journeys. By providing a platform where individuals can share their experiences, we hope to inspire, support, and empower our community members to take control of their health and well-being.

We need your donations to help to fund the life-saving work that SAHA provides. Please give what you can. Every donation counts. Gift Aid Your Donation
