Story
We are taking part in a grand rickshaw adventure across India this January and want your help (yes you) to raise awareness (and some cold hard cash) for a rainforest conservation charity, Cool Earth. Cool Earth saves millions of acres of at-risk rainforests by supporting indigenous people who live nearby so that they are not taken advantage of by logging companies. Pretty neat, eh? All of your donations will go directly to Cool Earth, none to us or JustGiving. Help us save the rainforest and keep the world cool and classy!
Want to know more about this crazy grand adventure? Check out the adventurists at https://www.theadventurists.com/rickshaw-run/ and see what these crazy brits are helping us get into. But the long and short of it is 3 guys in a glorified lawnmower driving 2,800 km with no route and only two weeks' time to make lifelong memories crossing the western side of India. Seem absolutely bonkers? Your probably right, follow along with us at this link: https://www.theadventurists.com/rickshaw-run/rickshaw-run-live/?utm_source=brevo&utm_campaign=RRUJAN26%209%20Live%20Tracking%20App&utm_medium=email
We are the little icon that says, "2 Mad Dogs & an Englishman".
So, who are the 2 Mad Dogs & an Englishman? This group of three musketeers is made up of Kyle Van Hoesen, Kirk Easterday and Allistar Hamilton. If you have found yourself here, you probably know one of us, so let me introduce the rest. Kyle, an engineer and rock climber originally from San Fransico (now out in Colorado) who signed up for this race with no general plan but to have a bunch of fun! Kyle roped in his local Colorado trivia and climbing buddy Kirk, originally from Cincinnati. Kirk is a project manager and triathlon machine, affectionally known as the Hottest and Most Humble Man in Colorado Springs. But alas the rickshaw holds 3 and so the ancient corners of the internet (Facebook) were visited where we found Ally. Ally is a super mechanic out of Guildford UK who can fix any thing with a timing belt. And if you need a refrigerator fixed, you're sure as hell he can add a couple of spark plugs to that as well.
Now that you have met the team, please consider donating some money to Cool Earth and in exchange we will regale you with stories and pictures of our adventure when we are back safe and sound. Quality of stories are conditional on donation amount as you can see in our handy dandy table.
