Story
This year marks 7 years since my brother Greg suffered from two large strokes whilst undergoing brain surgery, this caused a significant injury to his brain. He was in hospital for 16 weeks and went through intense rehabilitation to learn to walk and and talk again.
His life completely changed at the age of 16. Despite this, his positivity and kindness shined throughout. He has come a long way since 2017, including completing a placement at University of Aberdeen.
I am running the Edinburgh Marathon in order to raise further awareness of this life changing condition.
Every half an hour in the UK, a child or young person will acquire a brain injury. The Child Brain Injury Trust provides information, support and training to anyone affected by this devastating and life changing condition.
