My parkrun experience has shaped my approach to marathons: they're about getting to the finish, and being somewhere fab. Malta will be my 19th and penultimate marathon. Raising money for parkrun will be a joy and privilege as it's formed such an important part of my life for over a decade. I've been one of the EDs at Lytham Hall parkrun for nearly all its existence, then an event ambassador before recently stepping up to Regional Event Ambassador. Volunteering for parkrun makes me very happy and by the time Malta comes, I'll have hit my 500 volunteer milestone. I will wear my parkrun top proudly, knowing I'm representing the most amazing worldwide family, and wonderful health movement. parkrun will always be free to attend, but it costs money behind the scenes, so your sponsorship money will help ensure its infrastructure is sound and that it can continue to reach more people, especially those who have the most to gain from it.
