Story
On Sunday, 20th October 2024, Ben and I will be running the Amsterdam Marathon to raise money for the Follicular Lymphoma Foundation (FLF). This cause is very close to my heart because in July 2021, my brother Andrew was diagnosed with Stage Four Non-Hodgkin Follicular Lymphoma. Andrew successfully battled through six months of immunochemotherapy, but unfortunately, he relapsed in January 2023 and now faces more treatment ahead.
Follicular Lymphoma currently has no cure, and Andrew, like many others, will continue to go through treatment cycles until one is found. FLF is helping to fund research that is getting us closer to a breakthrough, and I’m running to help fund this critical research to eventually find a cure .
As a former 400m runner, taking on the 26.2 miles of the marathon is a massive challenge for me, but it’s one I’m looking forward to (sort of) in order to support this cause. Any contribution, big or small, will make a difference. Thank you for your support.
