Story
In April I'll be joining #TeamEikon taking on 26.2 miles in the London Marathon to raise funds to help children and young people in Surrey. This will be my first marathon. My father Kevin Young has been a trustee at Eikon for 8 years and the charity is close to our hearts. As a secondary school PE teacher I see the struggles children and young people face on a daily basis.
Eikon provides much needed support to young people experiencing early signs of poor emotional wellbeing or mental health. Your support will help give children somewhere to turn when they're struggling with a range of serious challenges, such as experiencing anxiety, loneliness, or being the target of bullying or abuse.
By providing a safe place for children to turn, Eikon helps prevent unnecessary harm and even saves lives. In partnership with schools, communities, health & social care and other organisations, Eikon helps young people to feel supported to respond positively to life's challenges and thrive.
£100 can help provide a lunch club for a group of students
£50 can help give a child confidential time with an Eikon practitioner
£25 can help a young person feel less anxious and more prepared to start secondary school
I would be very grateful if you are able to support Eikon by sponsoring me.
