I am walking the kilt walk this year to raise money for Alzheimer’s Scotland in memory of my lovely dad, Ian Roan. We lost him on the 1st of May 2024 . For the last 10 years of his life Dad lived with Alzheimer’s. Although he slowly slipped away from us , he kept his humour and gentle kindness until the end. A true gentleman who loved nothing better than painting and walking in nature . Those that knew him , especially towards the end of his illness , will understand why one of the best ways to honour him is to go for a very long walk !
