Story
This April I will be running the London landmarks half marathon in memory of my amazing dad.
It’s something he would have always encouraged me to do as he did with so many things when I was growing up. My dad was the kind of person who always encouraged sport, being active and healthy and being outdoors, he would always encourage myself and my sister to try new things and adventures and live life to the full.
Sadly in December 2019 dad was diagnosed with mesothelioma, a horrible incurable cancer, after a brave 3 and a half years fight dad passed away in August 2024.
He spent his last week in the garden house hospice where he was cared for by the amazing staff there. As a family we are so grateful for the care he received during the toughest week we’ve ever been through, the doctors, staff and volunteers were amazing with my dad and us as a family.
This is my way of helping to give back and in memory of my dad who I know would be so proud x
