Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This October I’ll be boarding a plane with 6 others to fly to Tanzania to climb Kilimanjaro!! In the process, I hope to raise both awareness & vital funds to allow the charity to do more of their amazing work to help reduce the amount of deaths from cardiac arrests in young people. The trip is self funded but we’re raising money to put back into the charity so they can continue to make a difference.

Having worked as a trainer for the charity for 4 years, I’m super passionate about what they do & know for a fact that their mission really is saving lives in our local communities.

My role as a trainer for Jays Aim is delivering CPR & Defibrillator training to young people (mostly) in schools but they do so much more - they raise money for public access defibs to be placed in the community & they encourage young people to get their hearts checked out through cardiac screenings.

This Kilimanjaro climb was never on my bingo card for 2026 but when opportunity knocks, you have to say yes!! We’ll be taking the Lemosho route through all the landscapes including the rainforest which I’m so excited for, until we reach Uhuru Peak, standing 5,895 metres above sea level!!

I’ll be documenting my journey on social media as I lead up to the event in terms of training, fundraising and more so keep an eye out for anything you’d like to get involved with or if you’d simply like to donate, any sum is really appreciated.
